ChemSource, a tech platform that connects buyers and sellers of chemicals, ingredients and raw materials, is looking for a versatile and innovative web designer to join our growing team. You will assist in everything from website front-end design to print material, and will be a key contributor to the success of the team. Viable candidates include those with an eye for design, passion for visual communication, and a desire to expand their skill set in web and graphic design.

Individuals will develop their skills in web layout, interpret business needs, and translate complex business ideas and concepts into visually appealing end products. This is a full time salaried position (sorry, no contractors, vendors, part-time, or remote employees) at our super hip office at Bell Works in Holmdel, NJ.

Got skills? Here’s what we’re looking for:

• 5+ years of hands-on design experience, either in-house or at an agency
• Proven knowledge of design trends, patterns, usability, and UX best practices
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
• Excellent design, color, layout and typographic skills
• A portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking and creative problem solving
• The ability to thrive in an agile, fast-paced, and deadline-oriented environment
• Detail oriented, motivated, and organized
• Web development (HTML, CSS, JS) and multimedia experience is a plus

Responsibilities/Expectations:

• Conceptualize, design, and deliver creative Web layouts for ChemSource digital assets as well as our client’s websites and assets.
• Provide creative direction and cohesive brand strategy to ensure consistent messaging across all mediums
• Work in partnership with the Marketing Manager to build high-quality web and print content
• Design and produce icons, images, fonts and other digital assets in various formats
• Collaborate with the development team to create intuitive style guides and design specifications
• Assist in the design and development of marketing collateral
• Work on multiple projects across various disciplines at the same time

• $70k+ base salary depending on experience and formal education
